Finished violin, a light French polish, and a tuning.   The violin was responsive and had great resonance, it was ringing within minutes of being played for the first time.  It is tonally equal and had a nice response from all strings and in all positions, it is very even and easy to play.   It took a good maker to make it well, my work was to put it back into original condition that the maker intented.   I was very pleased, as well as the owner of this fine French "Duiffenpruggar" style violin from circa 1850s.
